A young forward has been placed on waivers and he will almost certainly be claimed.
Just prior to the start of the 2016-2017 campaign 24-year-old Seth Griffith was placed on waivers by the Boston Bruins and was quickly claimed by the young and developing Toronto Maple Leafs.
It wasn't long before the Leafs decided that the Seth Griffith experiment wasn't in their best interest, just three games in fact, and in November Griffith once again hit the waiver wire and was eventually claimed by the Florida Panthers where he played in 21 games for Florida this season.
Despite that the Panthers have made the decision to once again waive Griffith, and although it has to be incredibly frustrating for the young man, he will likely get yet another opportunity on yet another NHL team at this point. Which team that will be is now the question, and we will have to wait until the waiver process is complete before we have an answer.
