26-year-old forward mentioned in minor trade rumors has been scratched tonight.

We aren't hearing anything is imminent at this time but the Calgary Flames have made a curious roster adjustment this evening.

A report from Calgary Flames Roger Millions of Sportsnet has revealed that 26-year-old forward Lance Bouma has been made a healthy scratch ahead of tonight's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins. 

Bouma has been one of the names quietly floating around the rumor mill, and there have been unconfirmed reports that management feels he has not produced up to their expectations. While normally this scratch would set off some alarm bells, we are just two days removed from the Superbowl and Bouma is a young man from Atlanta, so this could also be related to something else entirely.

It's all just speculation for now, but certainly a situation worth monitoring moving forward.
