French forward Stephane Da Costa has been playing in the KHL for the past three seasons, but it appears his time in Russia is over. CSKA Moscow has made it very clear that the 28-year-old will not be back with the team. This definitely made him consider making a return in the NHL, and it looks like he had talks with some teams.
KHL insider Aivis Kalnins believes there were talks with the Montreal Canadiens, but according to him, Da Costa may very well end up with the Vegas Golden Knights:
Da Costa played 47 NHL games with the Ottawa Senators. He recorded seven goals and four passes for 11 points and 10 penalty minutes. He also played three seasons with Ottawa's farm club, the Binghamton Senators.
