3 NHL players that made the 'Naughty List' in 2021.

Not a great year for these guys.

Hockey players are usually held in high regard by fans of the sport, with fans often boasting that they have the classiest athletes in the world of sports. It is for that reason that when a hockey player crosses the line the backlash tends to be swift, something that all 3 of the men we will be touching on today have learned over the course of 2021.

We covered 3 names for our 'Nice List' earlier today and now we will be taking a look at 3 players, in no particular order, who definitely earned a spot on the 'Naughty List' in 2021.

P. K. Subban - Slew Footing.

The controversial New Jersey Devils defenseman has made headlines this season but for all the wrong reasons. Subban has been involved in a number of slew footing incidents over the course of this year and has earned the ire of fans from all around the league for what is perceived as a major flaw in the way he plays the game.

Examples like this one were all too common throughout the year:

The heat really came down on Subban however after a similar incident involving New York Rangers forward Sammy Blais, an incident that put an end to Blais' season very early on.

Brendan Lemieux - Attempted cannibalism.

It's not every day that you hear about another player trying to eat their opponent, and it is for that reason that a single incident has landed Brendan Lemieux on this list. While his hard nosed style of play, one that often crosses the line, has certainly earned him more than a few haters around the league, nothing caught the eye quite like the now infamous incident involving Ottawa Senators captain Brady Tkachuk.

Lemieux chomped down on the hand of the Senators captain, leaving a very visible bite mark on that hand, and was subsequently suspended 5 games for trying to make a meal out of his opponent.

Evander Kane - Everything.

It is hard to imagine how the year could have gone worse for Evander Kane of the San Jose Sharks. Not only was his name dragged through the mud when lenders went public about Kane's unpaid debts, debts that are reportedly in the tens of millions of dollars, but that was only the start of his troubles.

Since those revelations Kane has been embroiled in a very ugly and public divorce with his wife Anna Kane, one that has included accusations of fixing NHL games, domestic violence, courting prostitutes and more. And as if that wasn't bad enough it sounds like the situation in the Sharks' locker room wasn't much better.

"That guy walks into a room and the flowers wilt," said an agent with clients on the Sharks roster.

Oh and on top of it all he earned himself the longest suspension of the year after allegedly submitting a false proof of vaccination to start the season.
