National Hockey League fans would understand if this veteran forward was to ask for a trade. Buffalo Sabres' Matt Moulson has sat out 10 games this season as a healthy scratch and could benefit from a change of scenery.

The question remains: how will it come to it? According to TSN, there's been rumours he could waived, bought out or even traded. Moulson has not recorded a point in 12 games this season, while he is in the fourth year of a five-year, $25 million contract.

Moulson, who recorded three straight 30-goal seasons with the New York Islanders from 2009-2012, could be the upfront boost a rival club needs for the playoff run, and could meet expectations if he is given the chance.

"Once you start listening to everything else, I think that comes back to just knowing yourself and what you do, Moulson told the Buffalo News.

"I think a lot of people say things that don't know what I do on a daily basis as a person. I don't really let that bother me. I think what my family thinks of me is probably the most important."

Moulson has already proven he can bounce back when he tallied 14 goals and 32 points last season, after a quiet 2015-16 campaign. He could do it again, elsewhere.
