The National Hockey League showcases the most competitive level of hockey available on the planet and with that comes a desperate need from all 32 teams in the league to find every possible advantage that they can.

One of the easiest ways teams can get an advantage is through their scouting, and it would seem that a number of teams around the league have come to similar conclusions on a group of 4 young overagers. All 4 men are currently drawing interest from NHL teams and it sounds like it may only be a matter of time before we see them signed to one organization or another.

Those 4 players are Aidan De La Gorgendiere, Logan Dowhaniuk, Evan Vierling and Ivan Ivan and on Saturday night, NHL insider Jeff Marek shared some insight into each of the players and why they are drawing interest from clubs in the NHL.

When it comes to 21 year old defenseman Aidan De La Gorgendiere who had 12 goals and 53 assists for 65 points in 65 games in the Western Hockey League this season, Marek said the following:

"Saskatoon Blades defenseman Aidan De La Gorgendiere, who last night tied the Blades record for all-time points by a defenseman with 155, he ties Wendel Clark."

20 year old defenseman Logan Dowhaniuk who had 5 goals and 13 assists over 40 games in the WHL this season also received some praise from Marek for his tough playing style:

"Logan Dowhaniuk of the Moose Jaw Warriors, a defenseman who plays with an edge, went to Arizona [Coyotes]'s camp last year."

Former Rangers 5th round pick Evan Vierling, who had 35 goals and 60 assists for 95 points in just 60 games as a center for the Barrie Colts this season probably received the most praise from the insider:

"Evan Vierling was once upon a time a draft pick of the New York Rangers, didn't sign, has been tearing up the Ontario Hockey League, 95 points for the Barrie Colts. Went to Columbus [Blue Jackets] camp last season, they almost signed him, he'll get picked up this year for sure."

And last but certainly not least, the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's Ivan Ivan is drawing a ton of interest from teams according to Marek:

"Ivan Ivan... 90 points in 64 games, 6 teams are chasing him and the Detroit Red Wings invited him to camp last year."
