Oof... that's a rough way to start your NHL career.
Utah Mammoth general manager Bill Armstrong announced today that 4th overall draft pick (2025 NHL Entry Draft) Caleb Desnoyers will be on the shelf for at least three months while he recovers from wrist surgery.
The 18 year old center is coming off an excellent season with the QMJHL's Moncton Wildcats, a season where he managed 35 goals and 84 points in 56 games and raised the Gilles-Courteau Trophy as league champion.
He was expected to compete for a job at the Mammoth's training camp next month, but instead will rehab his injury and re-join the Wildcats mid-season. Look out for this kid in 2026 though.
