5 teams in the mix for Dvorak with asking price finally revealed!

Which contender ends up winning this sweepstakes?

Arizona Coyotes centre Christian Dvorak’s name is picking up steam in the trade market. Ever since the offseason began in the desert, Dvorak is a player teams are expressing interest in and Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman now reports which teams are in the mix to acquire the talented forward.

The insider revealed that several teams have been in contact with the Coyotes in attempt to acquire Dvorak. Per Cap Friendly, he’s signed for four more years with a very manageable $4.45 million salary cap hit, a great deal for a young center with his productivity.

The Detroit Red Wings, Minnesota Wild, San Jose Sharks and the Montreal Canadiens are reportedly looking at ways to pry Dvorak out of Arizona in a trade. The Rangers are also looking at Dvorak as a plan B if a transaction for Buffalo Sabres’ Jack Eichel does not work out.

We know the Coyotes are actively looking to fill their bank draft picks as much as possible, so we can already imagine what would be the price to pay for Dvorak, however, we finally have a clearer picture and a definitive answer.

According to Coyotes insider Craig Morgan, they are seeking “a couple prospects or a top prospect and a 1st round pick” in return for Dvorak.

The Boston Bruins, though they weren’t mentioned by Friedman, could also be interested and should be, according to moi. Boston needs depth at center and with the loss of David Krejci, they need it badly.

Dvorak could be the right addition in Boston seeing that he’s played with Taylor Hall in the past. They could be reunited to get the offense going. Dvorak would give the Bruins another center with experience playing alongside Hall and should be added to the list of interested teams in these sweepstakes.

Dvorak tallied 17 goals and14 assists in 56 games last season. He has scored 15-plus goals in four of his five NHL seasons.

The question now is: which team lands him?
