$7 million man Kevin Hayes will be a healthy scratch for the Flyers tonight
Less than two years into a seven year, $50 million contract and he's riding the pine.

According to a report from Philadelphia Flyers insider Bill Meltzer, Flyers head coach Alain Vigneault will make forward Kevin Hayes a healthy scratch (kinda) for tonight's game against the New Jersey Devils. Vigneault said that Hayes isn't 100% exactly but implied that Hayes wouldn't be playing regardless of a clean bill of health.
Ouch... that's not good.
Hayes is less than two seasons into a seven year deal that pays him more than $7 million annually... and now he's riding the pine. Double ouch. For what it's worth the 27 year old forward has 11 goals and 27 points in 49 games this season.
