Let’s be honest, things did not go as planned for the Dallas Stars last season…

The Texan team failed in 2016-17, winning just 34 of their 82 games, finishing 6th in the Central Division and 11th overall in the Western Conference.

A new plan came into place when general manager Jim Nill made some big changes this summer, starting with the man behind the bench. Lindy Ruff’s contract was not renewed and Ken Hitchcock came back behind the bench, nixing his retirement plans.

A great offense core is present in Dallas with Tyler Seguin, Jamie Benn and Jason Spezza, and Nill added to it by bringing in Alexander Radulov and Martin Hanzal.  He also added veteran defenseman Marc Methot, and larger than life goalie Ben Bishop.

The Stars mean business!

Under the coaching of Hitchcock, positive changes will be made to ensure that the Stars score, rack up points and head back to the post-season.
