A Kessel's special from the left wing ends drought.

Statistics are everything in this sport, and Phil Kessel was ever more worried about a very important one. He hadn't scored in his last 13 games, an anomaly for such a natural scorer.

Tonight, he was moved to the left wing, to play with Cullen and Hornqvist. The line composition is pretty interesting, but the result is even more so.

With a first shot blocked, Kessel didn't lose his composure, regained the puck and slammed a beauty home. That shot was so Kessel-esque!

The game is now 3-1 for the Pens, after one period.
