Another devastating performance from a suddenly very scary man.

If you haven't heard of the name Tyrel Bauer by now, it probably won't be long before the National Hockey League's newest boogeyman comes knocking.

Bauer, a 24 year old rookie defenseman for the Winnipeg Jets, has made quite the impression in his first two NHL games, taking on some established NHL veterans and not only coming up victorious but doing so in truly devastating fashion. It was Boston Bruins veteran forward Mark Kastelic who would give Bauer his welcome to the NHL moment, but Bauer would be equal to the challenge.

Bauer did eat a few good shots from Kastelic but, despite being the smaller man, he pummeled the more experienced Bruins forward and left him busted open when the NHL officials stepped in to pull the two men apart.

If it was just a single performance it could simply be written off as such, but on Sunday Bauer was at it once again. This time it was Detroit Red Wings veteran forward Keegan Kolesar who would step up to challenge Bauer and things would go terribly, terribly wrong for Kolesar.

Kolesar was trying to stick up for teammate JT Compher who had just been the victim of a big hit from Bauer, but Kolesar would only make things worse when he was dropped by two devastating blows from Bauer.

You can see the dramatic looking close up of the final two blows just below:

This is one young defenseman that opposing players will need to start looking over their shoulders for.
