On Thursday, the Florida Panthers placed defenseman Adam Boqvist on waivers, only lose him him on Friday.
That’s right, the New York Islanders have just claimed Boqvist off the waiver wire.
Boqvist spent his first five NHL seasons with the Columbus Blue Jackets and joined Florida on a one-year, $775,000 deal as a free agent during the off-season.
He has not played a game at the NHL level since Jan. 6.
