A wild scrap between two well respected NHL veterans.
A showdown between two well established and well respected veterans of the National Hockey League produced some excellent results on Sunday afternoon.
During the second period of a game between the Minnesota Wild and Winnipeg Jets, fans were treated to a pretty good scrap between Jets captain Adam Lowry and Wild forward Marcus Foligno. This one didn't come as the result of a big hit or anything of that sort, with the two men instead immediately dropping the gloves after a faceoff that occurred roughly midway through the second.
Both men threw some wild shots in this one, shots that could have done some serious damage if not for the defense of their opponents, although some shots did land it would be the NHL officials who would eventually put a stop to the exchange.
It looked to me as though Foligno may have been the man who landed more in this one, but it was a pretty close affair. Here is a look at the video so you can judge for yourselves:
There is also a second angle of this fight from an overhead view that really shows just how hard both of these men were battling it out, and you can see that in the short video just below:
Let me know who you think takes the win in the comments.
