This little Red Wings fan warmed hearts everywhere after he went viral following his appearance on the Jumbotron at Little Caesars Arena last season.
The young man named George quickly made the rounds in hockey circles for this incredible content during a game in February against the Vancouver Canucks. While he appeared to be a bit bashful despite his beaming parents having made a homemade sign declaring it was his first NHL game, he would eventually warm up to the attention that he was getting on the big screen from the fans:
The cool thing is that the Vancouver Canucks fans in the crowd were good sports about it!
And before long, the youngster would be back at Little Caesars Arena later in the season for a game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, much to the delight of the crowd:
And wouldn't you know it, guess who made an appearance on the red carpet at tonight's NHL Awards in Nashville? The little man himself!
Is that cool or what? Little George has definitely made an impression on the Red Wings and their fans as well as hockey fans everywhere, and there's no doubt that he'll be welcomed back at LCA at any time.
