AHL Canucks announcer Brandon Astle attacked by an angry fan live on air

The AHL Abbotsford Canucks are headed to the Western Conference Final after a dominating 5-0 win over the Colorado Eagles tonight in Colorado.

And while the action on the ice was impressive for the Canucks, it pales in comparison to the action that Canucks broadcaster Brandon Astle experienced in the play by play booth. Astle was reportedly attacked by a drunken Eagles fan during the 1st period.

With the Canucks up 2-0 and with time dwindling down in the 1st period, a fan reportedly threw a chair at Astle and struck him in the back of the leg.
