Bud Holloway of the St. John's IceCaps made one those saves that you have to watch again to believe. In case you didn't know, Holloway is a forward, not a goalie.

In a game where his team was down with their goalie pulled, came up with what can easily be the play of the year in the AHL and compete with the best of the NHL. The Binghamton Senators had possession of the puck, they moved it up ice and shot it towards the empty net from the blueline. That was when Holloway intervened. He dove full out and redirected the puck over the net to save the goal. Key words, full out. He was completely parallel to the ice and was fully outstretched to reach for the puck.

After seeing it I still am having a hard time believing it. The only thing you can say to a play like that is WOW. Bud Holloway finally played his first NHL game this season, why not add a spectacular save to the resume as well.

Here is the play, get ready to be amazed.
