AHL forward suspended for swinging his stick at refereee

In case you missed it this past weekend, AHL forward Evan Polei of the Manitoba Moose was given a game misconduct penalty after appearing to accidentally hit an official with his stick while slamming it against the side boards.

Here's the penalty in question:

Well today Polei was officially given a one game suspension.

This obviously looks like an accident to me, but I'm completely fine with this suspension. After all, you need to be responsible for your stick.
