Aleksander Barkov takes a knee to the head from Dwayne Wade!

Some players just do not have any luck.

Florida Panthers star forward Aleksander Barkov has had some pretty bad luck in the National Hockey League when it comes to remaining healthy, never playing in a full 82 game season for the Panthers. It has gotten to the point that fans in Florida likely expect Barkov to get hurt at some point during the regular season but I am sure they would never expect it to happen during a game in the National Basketball Association.

On Sunday night the Florida Panthers were not in action having played the Tampa Bay Lightning just the night before so Barkov decided that he would head over to the American Airlines Arena and take in a game between the Miami Heat and the Utah Jazz. As you would expect in the case of someone of Barkov's status in the sports world he was sitting court side and taking in all the action when he was nearly injured by one of the NBA's biggest stars, Dwayne Wade.

Now obviously Wade was not attempting to injure Barkov in any way but instead delivered a knee to the head of the Panthers star entirely by accident when scrambling to make a play. Wade lost control of his dribble and as he tried to regain possession of the ball he quickly realized that he had run out of room and launched himself into the crowd in an effort to avoid crashing into the onlookers at court side, onlookers that included Barkov himself.

The result was Wade's left leg coming up and striking Barkov in the head, but thankfully the Panthers' star managed to get both of his arms and hands up in time to shield himself from the impact. It looked based on Barkov's reaction to the incident that he had managed to shield himself from any type of injury and when Wade looked back at him he had a giant grin on his face from ear to ear. Although we could not see Barkov himself in the shot at the time I have to assume that this means that Barkov himself was smiling back and laughing at the whole thing.
