This third period is delivering already!

With the Habs up 2-1 and desperately hanging on in the 3rd period of Game 7 we've got some drama.

Montreal Canadiens goaltender Jakub Dobes received a bit of contact in the crease and proceeded to flop around like a fish out of water.

Check it out:

No call on the play and Dobes spent the break vehemently arguing with the officials over the non-call.

So... what happens next shift?

Sabres captain Rasmus Dahlin gets the equalizer.

That's the Hockey Gods in action right there.

Tie game in the 3rd period of Game 7. It doesn't get much better than that.

Mattias Samuelsson has given the Buffalo Sabres some life midway through Game 7.

With the Sabres down 2-0 in the do-or-die game against the Montreal Canadiens this evening, it was Samuelsson who scored a well-timed goal to halve the Habs' lead and give his team some life.

Game on! This third period is going to be one of the ages!
