Alexis Lafrenière avoids punishment for run at Victor Hedman
The 20 year old former 1st overall pick gets away with a freebie from NHL Player Safety.

According to a report from NHL insider Renaud Lavoie, there will be no hearing and therefore no supplemental discipline for New York Rangers forward Alexis Lafrenière after Lafrenière took a run at Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Final.

In all seriousness, Lafrenière clearly lined up Hedman's head but the Bolts defender was able to avoid most of the hit and just got clipped by a glancing blow.

Hedman left the game to get checked out but returned shortly after.
As for Lafrenière, his season is over regardless but any suspension would have rolled forward to next season.
