All Hell Breaks Loose During Training Camp In Columbus.

What in the world is going on with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Just two days after Russian forward Kirill Marchenko made it painfully obvious that he no longer wants to be a part of the Blue Jackets organization, now come reports of multiple incidents breaking out on the ice between teammates, including what sounds like a rather nasty cheap shot.

There was one incident that occurred between two veteran National Hockey League players with veteran forward Erik Gudbranson taking exception to a hit from veteran forward Miles Wood. Not only did Gudbranson take exception to the hit, but he responded by nailing Wood with a 2-handed chop and wasn't done there. According to Blue Jackets insider Aaron Portzline, Gudbranson was letting Wood hear it all the way back to the bench despite the fact that he had gotten a pretty serious measure of revenge.

There was an incident though, this one involving veteran forward Conor Garland, that takes on a much nastier tone. Blue Jackets rookie Charlie Elick left the ice today after being on the receiving end of a hit from Garland, but again according to Portzline this was no ordinary hit.

Garland reportedly delivered an elbow to the rookie despite this being a friendly scrimmage, one forceful enough that Portzline believes it would have been called during the course of a regular NHL game. Unfortunately for Elick he would leave the ice while clutching at his face following the elbow from Garland.

It's been a dysfunctional few days for the Blue Jackets, definitely not what you want only days removed from the start of another NHL season.
