American president Joe Biden gets standing ovation when taking a shot at the Maple Leafs!
Wow!
HockeyFeed
U.S. President Joe Biden is currently in Ottawa speaking to the House of Commons at Parliament, and when speaking about sports in Canada, he managed to get a standing ovation for taking a shot at the Toronto Maple Leafs.
This was friendly fire, but it was just the best part of his speech.
“I like your teams, except the Leafs...”
While a few fans in the House of Commons complained, most got up to their feet to applause the president who quickly added: “I’ll tell you why. They beat the Flyers back in January. I married a Philly and if I didn’t say that, I would be sleeping alone. I like you, fellas, but not that much.”
More to come...
