An emotional Roberto Luongo personally thanks fans in Vancouver after winning the Stanley Cup

Roberto Luongo is a Stanley Cup champion.
It look 25 years, but the Hall of Fame goaltender turned Florida Panthers executive finally got to hoist the Cup above his head last night. Luongo had one of the most emotional moments on the ice with the Cup and followed it all up with some kind words for his fans in Vancouver.

Florida Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk has become the first Tkachuk to hoist the Stanley Cup.
Tkachuk and the Panthers finally, mercifully clinched the Stanley Cup this evening with a 2-1 victory over the Edmonton Oilers in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final.
And when Tkachuk hoisted the Cup he made sure to find his family in the crowd, including father Keith Tkachuk and brother Brady Tkachuk so that he could celebrate in clear view of them. Brady, captain Ottawa Senators, appeared overcome with emotion in the moment.

Just moments after this Tkachuk was interviewed by Sportsnet where he shouted out Calgary Flames fans and assured them that he 'couldn't let Edmonton win.'

Connor McDavid has won the Conn Smythe Trophy as the Stanley Cup Playoffs MVP.
McDavid becomes the first forward from a losing team to win the award since Philadelphia Flyers forward Reggie Leach won the award in 1976.
