It's an important day for young defenseman Rasmus Andersson as it has been confirmed by the Calgary Flames that he will make his season debut tonight, against the Detroit Red Wings.
The 21-year-old was called up from the American Hockey League for the first time this season during the weekend, in the wake of a lower body injury to Travis Hamonic. Andersson is looking forward to his first game of the season and just his second in the NHL.
He will be partnered up with Brett Kulak.
In ten games with the Stockton Heat, Andersson has one goal and seven assists which leads all defensemen on the team.
