What exactly does the future hold for Calgary Flames forward Andrei Kuzmenko?

After staring his NHL career with a bang by scoring 33 goals with the Vancouver Canucks in 2022-23, he would eventually be traded to the Flames midway through this most recent season in the trade that sent Elias Lindholm back to Vancouver.

His production continued after joining the Flames, as he scored 14 goals in the 29 games he appeared in following the trade. He's set to enter the second year of the two year, $11 million pact he initially signed with the Canucks that carries an AAV of $5.5 million. However, he's reportedly decided on a change in his representation.

According to multiple reports, he's now represented by Newport Sports after changing agents; he was formerly represented by Dan Milstein of Gold Star Hockey.

Does Kuzmenko fit into the long term plans of Flames general manager Craig Conroy, who is entering his second full-time year on the job?
