Andrew Copp injury forces Red Wings to make emergency call-up
Detroit is tapping into their AHL reserves.

The latest blunder amongst National Hockey League officials took place last night at Little Caesars Arena, as both referees somehow missed an egregious high-stick that victimized Detroit Red Wings forward Andrew Copp, resulting in a broken cheekbone.
According to head coach Derek Lalonde, there was no review of the penalty because the infraction didn't draw blood, something that clearly didn't sit well with him. And unfortunately, Copp will not be available for tomorrow's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Red Wings have now been forced to call up forward Zach Aston-Reese from the American Hockey League affiliate Grand Rapids Griffins.
