It was announced by the spouse of Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price that he and the rest of the family would be departing Quebec and moving to British Columbia; she said as much during a recent “Ask Me Anything” session on Instagram.

Angela Price would confirm the news earlier today that she and her family are indeed relocating later this year.

“We are officially moving after the school year. (in June 2023) We are sad. The closer the departure date gets, the harder it gets to accept,” she wrote on her personal page in response to a fan inquiring as to when they would move from Quebec.

“We will miss living here (in Quebec) so much, but we plan to come back to the city often. But it will be really nice to be within driving distance of our families."

The playing career of the two time Vezina Tophy winner effectively ended following Montreal’s surprise run to the 2021 Stanley Cup Final. Price would be placed on LTIR with a nagging knee injury and also would eventually check himself into the NHL's Player Assistance Program; he was awarded the Bill Masteron Trophy last year for his perseverance and dedication to hockey.
