Angela Price stirs controversy with reaction to Paris Olympics
Her recent comments drew a polarized reaction of both support and opposition.
The political controversy rocking the Paris Olympics with regard to a recent women's boxing match has drawn reaction from Angela Price, the outspoken spouse of Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price.
Algerian boxer Imane Khelif knocked out Italy's Angela Carini after just 46 seconds, though the latter said that she didn't step away from the match due to politics.
Price wrote the following on social media during a Q+A session:
“That saying 'common sense isn't very common these days'....a woman will never be able to compete at the same level as a man and I think it is heart breaking for these women born athletes, heartbreaking! do you, dress and act however you like but there are limits.”
