Anna Kane donates to Ryan Hartman after he flips off her estranged husband.

They say there is a fine line between love and hate and the dysfunctional marriage between Evander Kane and his estranged wife Anna Kane may be the best proof of that we have in the National Hockey League.

This week Evander, who is a very polarizing figure in the sport of professional hockey, was involved in a highly publicized incident when he was on the receiving end of some colorful gestures courtesy of Minnesota Wild veteran forward Ryan Hartman. During a game between Hartman's Wild and Evander's Edmonton Oilers the two men were involved in a scrum in which things got heated between the pair. Nothing much would come of that scuffle in terms of physicality, but as the officials on the ice were working to separate the two men Hartman let his feelings towards Kane be made public with a little sign language.

As I mentioned already, Evander has been a very polarizing figure in the NHL and therefore there was a lot of public support behind Hartman following the gesture. When the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced that Hartman would be issued a fine of $4,250 for the infraction, those same fans rushed to his defense.

Following the announcement from the league fans began sending Hartman money to help play for the fine through Venmo, money Hartman now says he will be donating to a children's charity. There was one fan who stood out among the rest of those who donated to Hartman though and that was Evander Kane's estranged wife Anna Kane herself. Anna contributed $200 to help pay the fine of a man who had received that fine for flipping off her husband.

Donating to help pay Hartman's fund alone would have sent a pretty scathing message about Evander to those who noticed it, but Anna wasn't done there. She publicly confirmed her donation by publishing an image of herself donating the money via her Instagram. You can see that imagine just below:

I'm not sure Hartman wants this kind of attention, but at the end of the day it is $200 that will go to a good cause.
