You have to admit there is something strange about punishing players over gestures in a league that quite literally allows players to repeatedly punch one another in the head.

The National Hockey League has issued another fine over a threatening gesture after Anaheim Duck Josh Manson made a "throat-slash" gesture to Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nazem Kadri. The National Hockey League's Public Relations released an official statement and in it they stated that Manson had received the maximum monetary penalty allowable under the collective bargaining agreement, a fine of $2486.56.

In a strange coincidence, the last player to receive a fine for making a throat slash gesture was Nazem Kadri who this time was on the receiving end of the gesture. Much like in Kadri's case the fact that this was clearly caught on camera likely had a great deal to do with the NHL's intervention.
