So yet another rookie scores his first career goal before the first month of the season is even done.
This has been they year of the rookie. Just goes to show the great young talent there is currently in the NHL.
The newest player to add his name to the list is Sam Reinhart. The 2nd overall pick in 2014 didn't want Jack Eichel to be the only Buffalo rookie to score his first early this season. Reinhart put the puck past Lightning goalie Ben Bishop on a nice pass from Tyler Ennis. The two make a pretty dangerous pair. They are both quick, agile and have some nifty hands.
Reinhart played only 9 games with Buffalo last season and was limited in his role. This season he will have a lot more chances playing on the first line with O'Reilly and Ennis.
Congrats Sam!
