There is all kinds of speculation surrounding New Jersey Devils superstar forward Taylor Hall right now and although it seemed like we may have had a clear picture of where things were going just a week ago, everything truly seems to be up in the air at this point.

Just this morning we reported on comments from two of the National Hockey League's most well respected insiders, comments that appeared to indicate that there was a clear favorite emerging in what has now become the Taylor Hall sweepstakes. From our report earlier today:

From Shannon:

While there appears to be interest from multiple teams for Taylor Hall...keep hearing St Louis and Arizona at the top of the list.

Now that is some pretty wild stuff right there, but what makes it even crazier is that Shannon is not the only man reporting this news. According to a report from TSN National Hockey League insider Bob McKenzie, arguably the best insider in the business, his sources are also pointing to the Arizona Coyotes as the potential front runner for a Taylor Hall trade.

From McKenzie:

I’m not saying Hall will end up in Arizona, but I would say Coyotes appear to be one of the teams with notable interest in him and likely have the motivation/wherewithal to perhaps get it done. Though I suspect they are not alone on those counts. On that note, I’m going to bed.

The Coyotes may still be the favorites at this time but now McKenzie's colleague at TSN, NHL insider Pierre LeBrun, is reporting that the Florida Panthers have suddenly entered the mix for Taylor Hall.

"Hearing that the Florida Panthers have inquired on Taylor Hall. About 5-6 teams in the mix including Arizona and Colorado among others..." wrote LeBrun.

According to a report from Patrick Johnston of the Vancouver Province it sounds like Vincent Trocheck and some prospects may be the offer from the Panthers. Some suspect that the "Boston area prospects" that Johnston has mentioned include former first round pick Spencer Knight, but that is only speculation at this time.

This trade is seriously heating up and it really does sounds like something could happen here in the next few days. The question now of course is where will Hall end up going when the smoke has cleared.
