The National Hockey League Trade Deadline is quickly approaching, and there is expected to be a flurry of deals on the horizon. We've already seen one example of a player being held out of their respective squad's lineup in anticipation of a trade, as the Seattle Kraken are sitting Alex Wennberg.
And now, another team is following suit. Arizona Coyotes forward Jason Zucker is being held out of tonight's lineup against the Chicago Blackhawks, as a deal is expected to be made in short order.
Zucker is in his first season with Arizona, having agreed to a one-year contract worth $5.3 million to join the rebuilding Coyotes. He's scored nine goals with 16 assists in 51 games played.
