Rumour gets louder that another move could be pulled soon!
The Vancouver Canucks didn’t wait for the last moments of the trade deadline to move their captain Bo Horvat, traded to the New York Islanders on Monday in return for Anthony Beauvillier, Aatu Raty and a protected 2023 first-round draft pick.
And it sounds like they might just keep the ball rolling.
“We’re definitely sitting in the standings in the bottom, so we need to improve our team,” Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin said after Monday’s move. “As we said when we got here (we’re) trying to get younger.
“We’ve got five weeks to the trading deadline, so I would assume that more calls will come along here.”
On Tuesday night’s Insider Trading on TSN, Darren Dreger pointed to more reported move that could take place shortly in Vancouver.
Demko has already been linked to several teams including the Pittsburgh Penguins and Los Angeles in latest rumours.
While some wonder if the Canucks could sit back and wait closer to the March 3rd deadline to create bidding wars for their trade baits, it sounds like Vancouver might be ready for an imminent trade again.
