Red Wings superstar defenseman just turned 30.
Detroit Red Wings superstar defenseman Mike Green just turned 30 today.
Green has scored 113 goals and 361 points in 477 NHL games, drafted 29th overall by Washington at the 2004 NHL entry draft. Green is a productive top-4 right-handed defenseman that the Wings were looking for since Brian Rafalski retired in 2011. Detroit signed veteran Green for three years for 18M$ on the opening day of free agency last summer. He definitely brings good breakout passes, offensive skills and has a great puck control that will help the Wings, especially on the power play.
Detroit will host Tampa Bay on Tuesday night and they will be looking for their 3rd win of the season.
Happy Birthday Mike!
