Oh boy what a finish to this one.

On Sunday night, during a clash between the Montreal Canadiens and Tampa Bay Lightning, we were treated to a spectacular showdown between Canadiens enforcer Arber Xhekaj and Lightning enforcer Scott Sabourin.

As you might expect just about everyone was excited when these two decided to go toe to toe, with both men dropping their gloves right off of the face-off with just a little over 3 minutes left to go in the game's opening period.

In the early going it looked as though it would be Sabourin who would walk away the victor with the Lightning's bruiser pummeling Xhekaj with heavy shot after heavy shot, but much to the credit of the man they call The Sheriff, he would absorb all of the punishment from Sabourin before delivering the most devastating shot of the exchange.

Xhekaj connected solidly onto Sabourin's chin with a massive overhand right, one that sent Sabourin down to the ice and into the shadow realm.

Sabourin tried to get back to his feet immediately, showing what a true warrior he is, but his body simply would not respond and he needed the help of the officials to get back to his feet.

In this second clip you can also see how much trouble Sabourin was in, wobbling on his skates as he was helped off the ice.
