A special moment between Team USA's captain and assistant captain.
Auston Matthews and the Toronto Maple Leafs are in Sunrise, FLA tonight for a big game against the Florida Panthers, a game that may have playoff implications down the road. But, Matthews and Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk put that all aside for a special pre-game ceremony in celebration of their gold medal victory with Team USA at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
Matthews and Tkachuk had a ceremonial face-off at center ice where they were joined by Panthers and Team USA GM Bill Zito and cheered on by the Panthers faithful with chants of 'USA! USA! USA!'.
