Auston Matthews scores his first of the preseason with a top shelf laser.

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Auston Matthews wasted little time getting on the board in the preseason's version of the Battle of Ontario. 

With the Leafs taking on provincial rivals the Ottawa Senators on Monday night, Matthews capitalized on a Maple Leafs power-play in the first period to get his team back into the game. 

With the Leafs down 0-3 they desperately needed a goal to make a game of things, and they got that when Matthews fired a laser from the slot, beating goaltender Daniel Taylor.
