Huge moment for the young Leaf.
Toronto Maple Leafs rookie sensation Auston Matthews has broken the ice in the postseason.
On Monday night in Game 3 of the first round Stanley Cup playoff match upo between the Washington Capitals and Toronto Maple Leafs, the young Leaf came up huge in large part to a fortunate bounce.
The puck, seeming to have a mind of it's own, rebound off of Matthews' initial shot, then bounced on what appears to have been both Capitals defenders, only to return right to Matthews' stick for a second attempt.
Needless to say he made it count.
