Avalanche puts fan in his place with best response ahead of tonight’s Pride Night
The Donald Trump enthusiast went on a rant, and heard back from the Avs.

Later tonight in Colorado, the Avalanche is hosting the Los Angeles Kings at Ball Arena for their special Pride Night game. The team partnered with the Museum of Contemporary Arts Education Programs to have two teen interns design the special jersey for the event.
This is a beautiful initiative from the Avalanche, however, one man does not like the elements in place ahead of tonight’s game against Los Angeles. Noah Benson, who described himself as a “Proud Trump Supporter & MAGA Populist. MAGA means Make America Great Again. Nuclear energy advocate” on X, formerly known as Twitter, took to the social media to call out the Avalanche, demanding they “don’t shove the Pride rainbow in my face.”
The Avalanche’s media team put him back in his place with the perfect response ahead of Pride Night:
“We’re not shoving a Pride rainbow in your face. We’re celebrating the LGBTQ+ community who have been historically excluded from the sport we all love so much.
“Perhaps it’s time to educate yourself on what Pride Night actually stands for.”
The NHL got a lot of heat at the start of the season when it decided to ban the use of rainbow-coloured stick tape for Pride Nights around the league. On October 21 in a game against the Anaheim Ducks, Arizona Coyotes’ Travis Dermott decided to use Pride Tape on the shaft of his hockey stick to show support for the LGBTQ+ community. He was adament about taking it upon himself to be the voice for LGBTQ+ community in the hockey world. Shortly after Dermott decided to do this, the NHL reversed their initial ban.
The Avalanche is not only embracing the opportunity to support the 2SLGBTQ+ community, but also took a stand in their response to Benson on social media.
