Uh... this is interesting.

This just in, the Colorado Avalanche have signed 28 year old forward Logan O'Connor to a six year contract worth $2.5 million per season.

Now, if you're sitting there wondering 'Huh... who?', you're not alone.

Hockey fans online are a little flabbergasted by this deal. After all, O'Connor is a career 3rd/4th liner who has never had more than 26 points in a season. Last season he managed 13 goals and 25 points in just 57 games, which is technically his career best showing given the limited games played.

What do you think, Avs fans? Is this a good deal?
