Avs get a HUGE boost ahead of NHL’s return to play

We don’t yet know when the Colorado Avalanche will return to play exactly, but we do know that they’ll be watching the “play in” round from the comfort of their own living rooms like the rest of us. The Avs are among the eight teams who have earned a first round bye and will wait to see exactly who they’ll face when the official Stanley Cup Playoffs begin in the “second round.”

When the Avs do hit the ice though, they’re going to have a secret weapon: 4th overall pick Bowen Byram. The 19 year old blueliner will reportedly suit up for the Avs when they hit the ice.

Check it out:

For those who don’t know, Byram is an absolute STUD of a defenseman who has tore up the WHL with the Vancouver Giants the past two seasons. He put up 26 goals and 71 points in 67 games in 2018-19 and 14 goals and 52 points in 50 games with the Giants this season. Suffice it to say, this kid will NOT be back with the Giants next season. He’ll be a fixture on the Avs’ blueline now and for potentially a decade plus.

I mean… just watch this kid:
