Bad sign for Roope Hintz just moments before Game 3.

This doesn't look good for the Dallas Stars.

There were some positive signs regarding injured forward Roope Hintz heading into Game 3 of the Western Conference Final against the Edmonton Oilers but unfortunately that may have just been a case of false hope.

Hintz traveled with his team and even arrived with them at the arena, and when he hit the ice for warmups it seemed like he was destined to play in Game 3, but things suddenly took a turn for the worse. Hintz would talk to training staff and did not participate in line rushes, eventually leaving warmups after just 5 minutes.

It now appears as though Hintz will not play tonight although that has not yet been officially confirmed, stay tuned for more on this developing story.

Update: Hintz is officially out for Game 3 as per the NHL.
