The Chicago Blackhawks might be dead last in the league, they still have many interested trade baits ahead of the March 3rd deadline. Of course there are star players Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane, however, forward Max Domi is also garnering a lot of interest.

So much so that David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period is reporting that the New York Rangers, Toronto Maple Leafs, Dallas Stars and New Jersey Devils have been linked to Domi.

Domi signed a one-year, $3 million deal with Chicago this summer, and is likely to be traded closer to the deadline. His salary isn’t expected to be an issue for one of those teams allegedly in the mix, though a player for player might have to take place.

It was recently reported by Nick Kypreos that the Maple Leafs attempted to sign Domi as a free agent this past summer and even offered him a contract. However the money was significantly less than he was offered by the Blackhawks, and he eventually signed in Chicago.

With Domi having an impressive first half of the season, putting up 11 goals and 25 points, along with 39 penalty minutes in 37 games, you have to wonder what he could have brought to Toronto. A trade at the deadline could have fans finally find out if the Maple Leafs win this potential bidding war.

The Maple Leafs could however hold an interesting advantage seeing that Domi is from Toronto and could live the dream of playing for a franchise that means so much to his father Tie and the rest of the Domi family.
