Next season may be very different for Guentzel.

It didn't take long for fans of the Pittsburgh Penguins to fall in love with rookie forward Jake Guentzel but they fell in love with him as a winger and the 2017-2018 season may bring big changes for Guentzel.
As most fans will know the Penguins were left with a big hole to fill up the middle when they lost both centers Matt Cullen and Nick Bonino to free agency this summer, and while there are rumors the Penguins will look to trade for another center, head coach Mike Sullivan may have a backup plan.
According to a report from Josh Yohe of DK Pittsburgh Sports, Sullivan has not left the door open for Guentzel to make the move for center next season, although at this time is doesn't sound like anything is set in stone.
According to Yohe Sullivan does not prefer Guentzel at center, however it sounds like aforementioned hole at center may force the coaches hand a little and it could in fact happen.
We likely won't know for certain until after training camp, but this is one development Penguin fans will want to watch closely.
