The offseason is happening for both teams and work needs to be done. Full trade details below:
Blackhawks insider Scott Powers has just reported that Chicago have traded the rights to defenseman Victor Söderström to the Bruins for a seventh-round pick and defenseman prospect Ryan Mast.
Söderström has played 53 games in the NHL since he was selected in the first round, 11th overall by the Arizona Coyotes back in 2019. He then followed the club to Utah once the move was finalized, but his rights were traded to the Blackhawks at this year’s deadline, along with the remainder of Shea Weber’s contract and Aku Raty in return for fifth round pick in the 2026 draft. Söderström has a total of one goal and 11 points in the NHL.
Now, Söderström’s rights are in the Bruins’ possession.
The 24-year blue liner spent this past season with the Brynas IF Gavle of the Swedish Hockey League, collecting nine tallies and 37 points in 49 games.
