Veteran National Hockey League defenseman Radko Gudas has once again found himself as the center of controversy on Sunday, and once again it comes as a direct result of the heavy and physical style of play that Gudas loves to employ.

Chicago Blackhawks veteran forward Teuvo Teravainen was furious on Sunday after what he felt was a high elbow on the part of Gudas went uncalled by the officials on the ice. With a little over 4 minutes left to go in the second period of an afternoon game between the Blackhawks and Florida Panthers, Gudas would deliver a hit that would send Teravainen crashing down to the ice.

Teravainen's helmet was dislodged on the play and, upon closer inspection during the video replay, it did appear as though Gudas' elbow made contact with Teravainen's jaw.

Teravainen was slow to get up and although he didn't initially protest it was clear once he got back to the Blackhawks bench that he was furious at the lack of a call on the hit. Based on the replay angles that were shown during the broadcast, while it does appear Gudas was trying to drive through Teravainen's chest, it does appear as though Teravainen may have a case.
