Blackhawks have another controversy brewing thanks to prospect Artur Kayumov
Another swing and a miss from this franchise.

The Chicago Blackhawks' PR and communications staff is getting an absolute workout this past week.
The team, of course, is embroiled in a massive scandal in which they are alleged to have covered up sexual abuse from their former video coach Brad Aldrich. Aldrich is alleged to have sexually assaulted former Blackhawks prospect Kyle Beach and when the allegations were brought forth to Blackhawks' management, the team effectively ignored Beach.
Now, following the release of an independent investigation, the Blackhawks are absolutely reeling. Longtime general manager Stan Bowman has resigned, former head coach Joel Quenneville has also resigned from his position with the Florida Panthers and owner Rocky Wirtz has stated that anyone employed by the team during the time when Aldrich committed his alleged crimes will be dismissed.
Needless to say, things can't get much worse if you're a fan of the Chicago Blackhawks these days.
But, of course, there's no such thing as rock bottom... because things can always get worse.
Fans from across the NHL are calling out the Blackhawks for not punishing prospect Artur Kayumov for his decision to dress as an Arab terrorist for Halloween this year. The 23 year old forward who currently plays for Yaroslavl Lokomotiv in the KHL thought, for some reason, that this costume would be well received:
Now, personally this costume doesn't offend me at all. But, I'm not about to sit here and tell anyone what they should or shouldn't be offended by. I'm sure that if I were Arab or Middle Eastern at all, I'd feel differently about things.
Frankly though, how dumb can you be? Like I said, this costume doesn't offend me but there's no way in Hell I'd ever wear it out in public. I mean... what kind of reaction are you expecting? You have to know that by dressing up as a living, breathing stereotype that you're going to ruffle some feathers and you're going to receive some well earned criticism. Give your head a shake, buddy.
As it currently stands, the Blackhawks have not made a statement concerning Kayumov's costume and, to be honest, I'd be surprised if they did. One crisis at a time is plenty.
