Blackhawks player celebrating his 25th birthday today!

Chicago Blackhawks defenseman David Rundblad is 25 years old today. Born in Sweden in 1990, Rundblad recorded 14 points in 49 games with the Hawks last season.

Drafted 17th overall in 2009 by St. Louis Blues, Rundblad never played a single NHL game for the Blues as he got traded to Ottawa for a 2010 1st round pick which was Vladimir Tarasenko. Rundblad was then traded by the Senators to the Coyotes after just 24 games with the club. The Coyotes would then trade Rundblad to Chicago where he has been a skilled offensive player that brings depth at the blue line for the Blackhawks.

Chicago will visit the Islanders tomorrow for the first ever NHL game in Brooklyn.
